Anniversary Section on VMA.org is Now Open
The Valve Manufacturers Association of America celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year, and to help commemorate the association's long and rich history, the association has unveiled a special Anniversary section on VMA.org. Included are: articles on the fascinating history of valves as well as significant milestones in the industry and the association, interviews with valve industry icons, a pictorial history of images from the last century and an Anniversary news releases. Additional features will be added to the site in coming months.
VMA’s Communication Committee has been instrumental in developing VMA’s anniversary activities. Committee chairman Mike Rooney, Emerson Process Management—Valve Actuation, says, “Our intent is to capture and share the many reasons the association is proud to be the voice of the U.S. and Canadian flow control industry and represent many of the world's finest valve, actuator and control manufacturers.” To spread the message about the high-quality products engineered by its members, VMA will be working with the trade press on developing articles and exchanging ads, as well as hosting members of the press at a briefing at the annual meeting, explains Rooney.
The 75th Anniversary will culminate at the VMA Annual Meeting, Oct. 3-5, in Florida, where the Communications Committee will premiere a special video that features members talking about the association and the benefits of working with U.S. and Canadian valve, actuator and control manufacturers.
