VALVE Magazine Readership Survey Released
A just-released readership survey, conducted by Stratton Research & Publishing, reveals that VALVE Magazine is “still the one” for the vast majority of readers. By an increasingly wide margin, VALVE is the one professional publication respondents regard as most valuable to them in their work. Approximately 95% of readers say that VALVE is either extremely (50%) or somewhat useful (45%).
The typical reader is a 56-year-old manager or engineer who works in a variety of industries, including power (47%), chemical (46%), oil & gas distribution and transmission (41%), water/wastewater (38%), petroleum refining (38%) and production (32%). Additional industries include pulp & paper, food & beverage, commercial construction, nuclear power, biopharm and valve manufacturing.
Survey respondents were asked about their interest in topics typically covered in the magazine. The most-preferred topics include technological innovations, “back to basics," industry trends/outlook, standards, maintenance/operations, and education and training.
