U.S. GDP Increased 3.2% in 2013 Fourth Quarter
Real GDP increased at an annual rate of 3.2% in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to the advance estimate. In the third quarter, real GDP increased 4.1%. VMA Technical Seminar: Valve Emissions for Compliance, Standards and Technology
March 5-7 valve manufacturers and end-users will gather to learn the latest on the many issues raised by fugitive emissions. The program is designed for mid- to senior-level management, engineering and technical personnel.
Ken Garing, chemical engineer for the U.S. EPA – NEIC (National Enforcement Investigation Center), will discuss the Impacts of leaking valves and describe efforts underway to further reduce fugitive emissions as well as explain the new regulations being put into effect. Additional industry experts will cover the topic of emissions from a variety of viewpoints, including the chemical industry, refining industry, seal manufacturers, testing labs and the powdered metal industry. Also on the agenda: new materials for the valve industry and implementation of IEC functional safety standards.
