New Standard for Globe Valves

The first standard published for globe valves came out in 2013. API 623, “Steel Globe Valves—Flanged and Buttwelding Ends, Bolted Bonnets” covers valves from 2-24 inches in ANSI classes 150 through 2500.

Smaller Electric Actuators Fulfill Expanded Needs

The increased need for smaller size automation for heavier industrial applications that operate in hazardous or hostile environments has created an expanded role for small electric actuators.

VMA Distributor Membership Grows

The Valve Manufacturers Association (VMA) has just added its fifth distributor/channel partner member. Last year, the VMA membership overwhelmingly approved a change in the bylaws to expand the Associate Membership category to include distributors/channel partners serving the industrial valve, actuator and control industry, if they meet certain criteria. Five companies have joined under this new category: Classic Controls, DistributionNOW (NOV Wilson), MRC Global, Setpoint Integrated Systems and Sunbelt Supply
