Garlock Sealing Technology's Profits Up in First Quarter 2008

EnPro Industries’ sales in the Sealing Products segment improved by about 7%, reaching a record quarterly level of $123.6 million. About 4 percentage points of the improvement were the result of favorable foreign exchange rates. The segment's sales benefited from higher demand for (Garlock Sealing Technology’s) products from power generation and other energy-related markets and from steel and mining markets.

Curtiss-Wright Appoints Glenn Coleman Vice-President

Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced that Kevin McClurg has accepted the position of Vice President of Finance for the corporation's Flow Control operating segment. Succeeding Mr. McClurg as Curtiss-Wright Corporation's Vice President/Corporate Controller is Glenn Coleman.

Tyco International Ltd. reported $0.56 in diluted EPS from continuing operations for the fiscal second quarter of 2008 and diluted EPS from continuing operations before special items of $0.67.
