Dresser Masoneilan Valves Selected for Indian Steel Plant

Dresser Masoneilan was recently chosen by steel plant and equipment supplier Danieli India Ltd to provide control valves for the Vizakhapatnam Steel Plant project located at the outskirts of Vizakhapatnam the main important port of India. Danieli selected Dresser Masoneilan to provide 36005 Series V-Max control ball valve sets for use in a critical steel manufacturing process.

Curtiss-Wright Awarded Follow-On Contract from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding

Curtiss-Wright Corp. has received a follow-on contract from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding for the supply of helicopter hangar door equipment for installation on-board the USS Somerset, the ninth ship in the San Antonio-class of amphibious transport/landing platform dock ships.

Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, will perform work for this contract with delivery scheduled for 2010.

Flowserve Reports Record Full Year 2008 EPS of $7.74, up 74%

Flowserve Corp. announced record full year and fourth quarter earnings per share and sales in its 2008 Form 10-K Report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company announced record full year and fourth quarter fully diluted EPS of $7.74, up 74% and $2.03, up 22%, respectively, and full year and fourth quarter operating income of $613 million, up 50% and $159 million, up 16%, respectively.

Emerson Wins Major Fisher Digital Valve Order for Saudi Olefin Project

Emerson has been awarded an order for the installation of technologically-advanced Fisher control valves at the Saudi Kayan petrochemical complex in Al Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. For the project, Emerson will supply 780 Fisher digital control valves including the largest 42-inch Fisher antisurge valve ever to be built.

SPX Lands Westinghouse Contracts

SPX Corp.’s flow-technology business will provide Westinghouse Electric Co. with highly-specialized valves for up to 12 new nuclear power plants in the United States and China.

The combined contracts are valued in excess of $100 million.
