Crane Valves Opens Shipping Center in Ontario

The Crane Valves plant on Henry Street is slated to close at the end of February, but the company says it will maintain a presence in the community.

A shipping and customer service centre will be established at a site near the Henry Street plant, Craig Woepzel, a spokesman for Crane Energy, of Houston, Texas, said Friday.

Dresser Masoneilan Control Valves Chosen for Angola LNG Plant

Dresser Masoneilan® has been selected to provide control valves for the Angola liquefied natural gas (Angola LNG) Project. The contract was awarded by Bechtel’s Oil, Gas & Chemicals global business unit (Bechtel), which holds the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the onshore portion of the project.

Tyco Valve Business Eyeing Move in Massachusetts

A Wrentham company has purchased a building on Cabot Boulevard, two months after voters approved a tax-incentive package to facilitate the move.

Tyco Valve, more commonly known locally as Crosby Valve and Controls, has purchased a 118,000-square-foot building at 55 Cabot Blvd. The company says it will spend $20 million to renovate the building.

Coppinger Named President of Circor Unit

Circor International, Inc. has promoted Paul M. Coppinger to president of its Circor Energy Products unit. Coppinger, who has served as the company's group vice president for Circor Energy Products since joining Circor in 2001.

Prior to joining Circor, Coppinger spent thirteen years with Baker Hughes, as VP of sales and marketing of its Eimco process equipment unit.

Both the Valve Manufacturers Association of America (VMA) and its affiliated group for OEM-authorized repair shops, the Valve Repair Council (VRC), added new members to their rosters in the last quarter of 2008.

VMA welcomes SMG Valves, A Unit of Southern Mfg. Group, Inc. of Morrison, TN. The company manufactures non-lubricated plug valves for use in the chemical, petrochemical, power, mining and paper industries. Learn more about the SMG Valves at www.smg-global.com.
