Hemiwedge Announces an Exclusive Strategic Supply Agreement with Enertech, a Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company

Hemiwedge Industries, Inc. announced that Enertech, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company focused on provisioning products and services for the nuclear power industry, has signed a strategic exclusive supply agreement with Hemiwedge Valve Corp (HVC).  HVC will manufacture and supply the Hemiwedge Cartridge Valve product line to Enertech, who will market the valve line in new construction commercial nuclear power plants worldwide.

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Sales Up 8% in Fourth Quarter

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control sales for the fourth quarter of 2008 were $274 million, up 8% over the comparable prior year period due to strong organic growth. The organic sales increase was led by higher sales to the power generation market, driven by revenues for our AP1000 reactor coolant pumps for new power plants in China and the U.S.

80% Of Valve World Expo 2010 Exhibit Space Booked

To date, some 220 exhibitors from 28 countries have reserved 80% of the exhibit space at Valve World Expo - to be held for the first time in Düsseldorf, Germany from November 30 - December 2, 2010. These results confirm the positive reaction of the exhibitors to the venue change from Maastricht (the Netherlands) to Düsseldorf. 

So far, there is particularly strong exhibitor participation from Italy (40 companies), China (32), Great Britain (19), Taiwan (14), the U.S. and the Netherlands (12 each) and France (10). From Germany, 29 companies have signed up. Overall, 72,000 square feet of exhibit space in halls 3 and 4 of the Düsseldorf fairgrounds have been booked up to now.

Tyco Slurry Valves Used for Australian Goldmine

Tyco Flow Control has designed and delivered a pneumatically operated cyclone distributor consisting of 18 Clarkson KGD slurry valves to a goldmine in Western Australia.

To install the Clarkson valves the customer’s cyclone distributor was removed from the mine and taken to Tyco Flow Control’s Kalgoorlie workshop where the job was completed.
