The intelligent valve system enables operators to remotely set and control SPM’s proven line of back pressure relief valves while monitoring treating-line pressure and helping prevent over-pressuring of treating iron. The SPM SafeEdge ARC reduces nonproductive time through its autonomous reporting and monitoring capabilities while enhancing personnel safety.

SPM SafeEdge ARC is one component of Weir SafeEdge, along with the SPM Flow Line Safety Restraint (FSR) System. SafeEdge helps minimize the occurrences and impact of site incidents caused by over-pressured iron. Mueller Water Products: Singer Pressure Management Valve

Singer Pressure Management Valve with Integral BackupMueller Water Products has introduced the Singer 106/206 PGM-2PR-630-SM Pressure Management Valve with Integral Backup. This valve hydraulically manages pressure around the clock to reduce water loss, save money and prevent unwanted pressure spikes that contribute to premature pipe failure. Built on the Singer 106PGM or 206-PGM main valve, a simple field retrofit is possible using the paddle style orifice plate.

The valve switches between high and low-pressure pilots based on flow rate. The pressure reducing pilots independently adjust to suit the optimal downstream pressure. The valve requires no electrical power or independent flow signal, as it takes its flow signal from an orifice plate installed on the valve inlet. The integral backup system protects against diaphragm or pilot failure, reducing the need for immediate service.

The valve is available in sizes 4-12 inches (DN100-DN300) with a minimum pressure at the valve inlet of 29 PSI (200kPa/2 barg).

ATI: Electro-Hydraulic Control System

ATI Electro Hydraulic Control SystemAutomation Technology (ATI) has introduced an electro-hydraulic control system (EHCS). The product can be directly mounted to a linear or quarter-turn spring-return or double-acting actuator to perform critical shutdowns even when a power source is unavailable. The EHCS can be provided for either non-hazardous area or hazardous area rated service.

The EHCS consists of a power module and a control module. The power module includes an electrical motor, a single-direction hydraulic pump with reservoir, a valve manifold, and a power supply for control components. The 24 VDC electrical control system includes a pump pressure switch, open/off/close and auto/manual selector switch and limit switch relays. Standard electro-hydraulic control systems operate at 2800 psi allowing for operation of any actuator with a minimum supply pressure up to 2500 psi.
