ASCO: Space-Saving O55 Series Isolation Valves

ASCO 055 Teflon GroupASCO has introduced the 055 Series line of chemically inert PTFE isolation valves for analytical and medical instrument applications that require space-saving components. The 055 Series is designed for use with highly aggressive fluids. It shields internal components from chemical attack through a 100% PTFE fluidic path. The valves also feature low-wattage solenoid coils with minimal heat generation and thermal transfer to protect valuable samples and reagents. Compared to competitive products, the new 055 Series PTFE valves address a wider range of market and OEM needs in terms of orifice sizes and flow rates. The valves are available in 2-way normally closed, 2-way normally open, and 3-way universal versions, and come with #10-32, 1/4-28, or 1/8 NPSC in-line porting for exceptional versatility. They are manufactured in ASCO's Class 8 clean rooms to eliminate contamination.

Spirax Sarco: TD46M Range of Thermodynamic Steam Traps

Spirax Sarco TD46M thermodynamic steam trapsSpirax Sarco has released the TD46M range of ASME 600 thermodynamic steam traps which includes the UTDS46M, TDS46M and TDC46M. These traps offer a robust solution for medium pressure applications where venting air quickly during start-up and reducing warm-up time is required.

The maintainable internals allow end-users to repair the traps as an alternative to replacement thereby reducing the total cost of ownership. The TD46M range is available in two body materials – UTDS46M and TDS46M in stainless steel and TDC46M in carbon steel.

Additional benefits of the TD46M range include:

  • Simple and quick maintenance that reduces customer cost
  • Superior shut off therefore minimizing steam loss
  • Integral strainers protects internals from dirt and debris increasing product reliability
  • Excellent durability and long service life

The TD46M range is well suited to drain medium pressure saturated and superheated steam mains and turbine drainage. Primary markets include the oil & gas, specialty chemicals and the power industry.

Metso: Upgraded PlantTriage Software

Metso upgraded PlantTriage softwareAs a tool of the digital world, PlantTriage leverages Metso's decades of expertise in automation and control valves. It gathers process data from many different control systems, and monitors of thousands of control loops.

For increased security, PlantTriage Version 13 contains several cybersecurity enhancements. JAVA-related vulnerabilities have been eliminated. Integration with Microsoft Windows Authentication allows administrators to manage network security seamlessly, according to the customer's in-house IT policies.

In addition, PlantTriage Enterprise Systems have been upgraded. An Enterprise System provides a single view of the corporation; combining KPIs and results from individual plant sites to a central portal. In Version 13, PlantTriage Enterprise Systems provide alerts for conditions on loops and units in remote PlantTriage systems.
