Winter is here! For most states east of the Rockies, January and February are the coldest times of the year. In the northern states, the average temperature during these months is below freezing.
These environmental conditions can wreak havoc on pipelines. Freezing can render valves inoperable; the valve can lock up, and if there’s water it can break the gear housings.
