The new Jamesbury® Valvcon QX Series DC powered actuator from Metso Automation is an economical alternative for 12VDC and 24VDC on/off applications, particularly in the oil and gas industries.
It is easy to install and operate, making it suitable for field, offshore rig and remote skid applications.
QX-Series actuators incorporate a holding brake to prevent back-driving, two auxiliary limit switches that can be used for indication and an internal relay that eliminates the need for external-signal polarity reversal in order to change the direction of travel.
These actuators are compliant with NEMA 4/4X/7&9 standards, carrying a CSA (C US) mark indicating that they have been tested to both Canadian and U.S. standards. QX-Series actuators are available in eight sizes ranging from 150 lb-in to 3000 lb-in.
