SMP Supply Acquired by Helena Dumont

Helena Dumont LP, a private investment platform based in Houston, announced that it has acquired Specialty Metal Products LLC, doing business as SMP Supply, a distributor of pipe, valves, fittings and flanges (PVF), headquartered in Houston. The transaction closed on October 19, 2026, and financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1987, SMP Supply provides commodity and specialty PVF products and valve assembly services to industrial and energy sector customers. SMP Supply will continue operating under its current name from its Houston HQ, with employees remaining in their current roles. Company founders will transition out of the business. Adam Britt, the company’s interim CEO, with Michelle Russell and Keith Thomas will lead SMP Supply’s day-to-day operations, supported by the Helena Dumont team.
