Emerson Integrates Valve Position Transmitter and HART 7 Communications Within its Digital Valve Controller

Emerson’s Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 digital valve controller series now incorporates a 4-20mA position transmitter that can also be configured as a discrete switch.

The discrete switch is a solid state circuit (1-amp maximum) that opens and closes based on a user configurable trip point. The trip point can be based on valve travel anywhere within the calibrated travel range or on a device alert.

The position transmitter is independent from the digital valve controller with the power coming from the control system analog input channel in the same manner as a standard 2-wire transmitter.
