Manufacturers Supplying the Defense Industry Face New Cybersecurity Standards

Manufacturers that supply the defense industry will need to adhere to a new set of uniform cybersecurity standards to bid on contracts from the U.S. Department of Defense.

At the beginning of 2020, the Department of Defense released its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program that establishes a multi-tier, unified set of standards for cybersecurity for all 300,000-plus members of the defense industry base.
