Versa Products Company, Inc. (VERSA), a leading design and manufacturing company in valve automation and fluid power, announces the addition of the new XIBC Intrinsically Safe Solenoid to its solenoid product line.
Engineered for demanding industrial environments, the XIBC combines a rugged 316L stainless steel coil enclosure, low power consumption, and low-temperature capability in a compact design. Its corrosion-resistant construction and intrinsically safe design make it well suited for valve control applications in the oil and gas, chemical, and power industries.
“The XIBC expands our solenoid offering with a solution designed specifically for customers operating in challenging environments,” said Rob Lindquist, Director of Global Sales at VERSA Products Company. “It provides the combination of durability, intrinsically safe operation, and application flexibility our customers need for critical valve control applications.”
Engineered for Intrinsically Safe Valve Control
The XIBC operates at 24 VDC with a low 0.8-watt power requirement and is rated for continuous duty with Class H coil insulation. Designed for Zone 1 applications, the solenoid uses an “ia” intrinsic safety protection method and requires an intrinsic barrier or isolating unit. Additional protection includes an IP66/67 ingress rating, while the maximum pressure rating is up to 175 psi, depending on the valve series. For applications exposed to extreme temperatures, the optional -EP sealing configuration supports operation down to -60°F (-51°C).
XIBC Solenoid Key Features
The XIBC Solenoid is available for use with VERSA’s B-316, C-316, V&T, and V-316 Series valves, providing flexibility when configuring valve control solutions for a range of industrial applications.
The addition of the XIBC expands VERSA’s portfolio of solenoid solutions for intrinsically safe and demanding industrial applications, providing customers with another reliable option for critical valve control systems.
