Designed for tough slurry applications, Red Valves says this air-actuated Type A pinch valves is a cost-effective solution for problems with flow control.

From Red Valve, the air-actuated Type A pinch valve offers a unique, cost-effective solution to flow control problems. Actuation of the valve is accomplished by air or hydraulic pressure placed on the sleeve. The valve body acts as a built-in actuator, eliminating costly pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators. Modulating the air pressure within the annular space between the body and the sleeve can open, throttle or close the valve.
This 100% full ported, bidirectional valve is designed for tough slurry applications. The elastomer sleeve closes on entrapped solids in the line. The flexing action of the sleeve breaks up any sediment or build-up in the valve, which the company says makes the Type A a reliable, low-maintenance valve.
The acquisition strengthens Cashco’s product breadth across pressure/vacuum relief, flame arresting and gas blanketing.
