The expansion is in the company’s FDO series of sanitary fluid control valves and back pressure regulators.
The new expansion is in the company’s FDO series of sanitary fluid control valves and back pressure regulators. The new products provide precision required for biopharmaceutical and other aseptic processes with extremely low flow rate ranges.
The FDO2 valve offers 1/4-in. ports; FDO3 offers 3/8-in. ports. The FDO4 1/2-in. valve is now available in a round format offering higher precision over a wider range of flow rates than the original square design. The new design enables gravity drainability for sanitary applications, however the old design is still available upon customer request.
FDO valves feature a multiorifice diaphragm-operated technology to precisely control pressure across flow rates. The valves are pilot-controlled which allows for easy automation. A thin, supple membrane is the only moving part, responding instantly to changes in the system flow rate to maintain desired setpoint pressure. The valves are designed for use in biopharm, food, personal care and other applications requiring surface finishes, clean-in-place, drainability or USP Class VI materials. equilibar.com/sanitary/
