Conval LP Bellows Seal ValveConval is now offering lower-pressure Clampseal N- and NPT-stamp bellows seal valves for demanding toxic, corrosive, caustic applications and regulations of severe service process control where leakage to the environment is not an option.

The new Clampseal bellows seal valves feature low weight and seismic profile; leak-proof integrity; in-line servicing; high cycle bellows; high flow capacity; and no fugitive emissions. The valves are available in ½” through 4” sizes, for ASME Class 150-900 pressure classes, with socket weld, butt weld, flange and threaded end connections.

Garlock GYLON EPIXGarlock has launched the GYLON EPIX™, a patented next generation in PTFE gasketing featuring a hexagonal surface profile with superior compressibility and sealing for use in chemical processing environments.

GYLON EPIX™ will be available in one universal thickness of 3/32" (2.4mm) that combines the sealing and blowout resistance of a 1/16" (1.6mm) gasket with the compressibility and conformability of a 1/8" (3.2mm) gasket. It will be available in the same three materials as traditional GYLON® products; fawn (silica filled PTFE), off-white (barium sulfate filled PTFE) and blue (aluminosilicate microsphere filled PTFE).

In metallic flanges, GYLON EPIX™ performs as well or better than existing 1/16" or 1/8" GYLON® gaskets, allowing end-users and distributors to consolidate inventory, lower the risk of using incorrect gasket thicknesses, and reduce stocking costs.

Proven in applications around the world, this split seal design greatly enhances reliability by keeping water and contaminants out of the hub and keeping lubricants in to avoid environmental contamination.

Chesterton’s Kaplan Runner Blade Trunnion Split Seal has a pin and lock design that keeps the turbine motion from pulling the split seal apart and also uses load pressure to join cut ends. Unlike standard stack sets, these seals are designed with a positive, flared lip design which enables them to automatically adjust and compensate for radial cross sectional variances. This feature helps resist blade droop which so often causes reliability issues.

The new dome feature gives access to an auxiliary port at the top of the hydrant that allows it to be used for other purposes, such as construction water access, installation of pressure sensors, etc. In the event of an emergency, the horizontal hydrant nozzles remain fully accessible to the fire department or utility, even if the dome port is being used. Spirax Sarco FTC23 Geothermal Ball Float Steam TrapSpirax Sarco has released the FT23 range of float and thermostatic steam traps. This range is suitable for heavily contaminated steam applications. The FT23 range is available in sizes 1½” to 2” and has two body materials: FTC23, carbon steel body with stainless steel cover and FTS23, stainless steel body with stainless steel cover.

The FT23 range of has external manual blockage lever allows for manual operation of the steam trap to purge contaminants. It also contains stainless steel cover on both carbon steel and stainless-steel bodies for high level of corrosion resistance. The new plug and seat design with ‘self-cleaning’ capability makes the steam trap less susceptible to the risk of failure due to fouling.
