Ideal for HVAC applications, the Series E125 butterfly valve offers the benefits of a grooved valve combined with the ease and speed of installation of an Installation-Ready coupling. By encasing the capability of a rubber-lined butterfly valve within a coupling, the Series E125 valve offers a reduced footprint, quick installation, and light weight.

Specifically designed for use on thin-wall stainless steel pipe featuring the StrengThin 100 groove profile, the rubber-lined valve protects against leaking and ensures easier maintenance – all in a compact, easy-to-install design, suitable to be fit into tight spaces often associated with HVAC systems. The Series E125 butterfly valve is lighter in weight and allows for full 360-degree orientation, so it fits into tight, irregular spacing. Its economic design means there are no loose parts, making it safer and quicker to install – without the need for star-pattern bolt and nut tightening.

The valve is available in DN80 – DN200 | 3- to 8-inch sizes and is specifically designed for systems up to 16 bar | 1600 kPa | 232 psi and for bi-directional service to full working pressure. It is also offered with a standard ISO 5211 stem and flange geometry to accept most gear and power actuators.

Conval: Camseal Metal-Seated Ball Valves Feature New Stem Position Indicator Disc

Camseal with new stem position indicator discConval recently announced that its popular Camseal© metal-seated, forged ball valves feature a new Stem Position Indicator Disc for easy, precise on-site identification and inspection of the open-close status of the valve. This is especially important when adding an actuator to a valve or resetting valve actuation in the field. The high-quality severe service valves are available in ½” through 4” sizes with socket weld, butt weld and flanged ends, in pressure classes from ASME 900 through 4500.

The new Stem Position Indicator Disc design (patent pending) is intended to improve the accuracy of the stem and ball alignment into the valve seat. This is important in severe applications such as steam where positive, sustainable shut-off is critical and even slight mis-alignments will compromise the ball/seat sealing band. The indicator is self-securing to the stem. No set screws are required. The new disc eliminates the need for costly and multiple manufacturing features that have traditionally been used with less accuracy. This custom-engineered disc design has shown an alignment improvement of up to 3.5 times over conventional methods of position indication due to the minimization of part tolerance stack-up.
